What to Expect.

Step One

Consultation

During your consultation, we will establish your budget, discuss your inspirations, take a look at your space (if you’re looking to decorate with your purchase), and establish your timeline. I will then provide you with a quote and outline of services.

*Once booked, the cost of your consultation will be applied to your final invoice. If you choose not to book, your consultation is non-refundable.

Step Two

Art Exploration

I’ll take the information gathered in your consultation and pitch a variety of artists to you. Together we’ll discuss what you like, don’t like, and begin to narrow down the pieces you love. Do you want an original or print? What size piece? When’s the soonest it’s available from the artist? We’ll solidify all of this in step two.

Step Three

Acquisition

Once we’ve found the piece(s) you love, I’ll begin negotiating the acquisition on your behalf. I’ll make sure the process is seamless and can support add on services such as delivery, framing or storing, and hanging your beautiful new piece.

FAQs

What can I expect when I book with you?

When you book a consultation, I will e-mail you to set up a consultation. During our first meeting, I can answer any questions about purchasing art, we’ll discuss your art goals, what type of art you like, your budget, and the timeline for acquiring art.

Collecting art is a very exciting journey and there will be a lot to learn along the way. I will be there to guide and facilitate your journey with each step.

How long does the acquisition process take?

Once you find a piece you love, the timeline for receiving the art varies. If the work is available in a gallery, then expect 1-2 weeks for shipping. If it’s a piece that’s currently on exhibit, the gallery will ship to you after the exhibit is over. If we are commissioning a piece from an artist, it may take longer.

I don’t know what type of art I like. Where do I start?

Not to worry! We will explore different types of art. I specialize in urban-contemporary, “street” art, modern, abstract, afro-futuristic, expressionism, and more! I also encourage you to explore art exhibits in your area so you can experience art in person. This will help you learn more about what inspires you and sparks your curiosity.

What if I don’t have a lot of flexibility in my budget?

Purchasing art is about finding a piece you love and connect with that’s within your budget. I’ve found pieces as low as $50 for some of my clients. We can discuss what works best for you and I will manage your expectations.

What if I don’t like the artists pitched to me?

During our meetings, we will talk through different types of art so I can get an idea of what you like. I do my best to pitch different types of art to my clients and based on their feedback, I will tailor future presentations to their liking. Again, this is an exciting time for you to learn what you like and what you don’t like.

Can you help me frame or store my pieces?

Depending on the type of art you purchase, you may have to get it framed. I can educate you about what to expect when you go to the frame store and share my input about how to frame the piece. I typically try to get artwork delivered directly to my clients, but I can store art for a short period of time in special circumstances.
